Just spent an hour cleaning my ride. I also replaced the wiper.
Done installing my new bilstein shocks on my Legacy. Went out for a short ride, and I noticed an improvement in handling and ride quality. They are really worth the cost.
Now that I've moved and assessed how much space we have in the house, I don't have space for the "man cave" I was hoping for. I wanted to get set up with space that I could play some old game systems, so I was going to pick up an old CRT TV for free off craigslist and plop it down in a basement somewhere. With no space, I collected up the old Nintendo stuff to give it a try and then put it up for sale....it didn't work Did some research, took it apart, refurbished and cleaned, and now it's working just like it should! I told my wife we should play some of the games before I sell it. Of course, she wasn't too interested, but we played Dr. Mario and she loved it. Now she doesn't even want me to sell it, LOL!
Pics of a couple games:
Ryan your my hero.
(Still waiting for that invite, to come over for a play date, due to location i feel we need to become better friends. )
Yesterday was my twins 1 year old birth day. Cant believe they grew so fast. from 2 pounds each to over 20pounds
Time flies doesn't it!
It's coming...We're still getting set up. Right now pretty much everyday is leave 6am, home 5:30 pm, hang around with the little guy/make dinner/clean up and put him to bed by about 8pm. Then work on the house until about 9:30 or 10pm, go to bed...repeat.
Today I helped to pick up a caddy for my friend. Nice looking sedan!
Not too many imports lined up for pick up. Is it a slow season?
Also, unexpected news, custom does not charge every car for soil inspection!
They check their "risk list" only. Apparently caddy is "risk free"
So, will find better usage of $45 next time
LOL, risk list? Wonder if that's the port of departure ... or perhaps, it's the "cars that kids buy that annoy us list".
I think the "slow season" is pretty normal. It seems like hype for JDMs has died (a bit).
Maybe "risk list" is kind of random selection?
Most fun/unique JDM cars were from the 90's, in early 2000's Japanese bubble era had gone, they started to make mostly regular cars.
Most JDMs coming to Canada were turbo sport cars, diesels etc, but look at the 2003 lineup: what kind of turbo you can buy, probably only Subaru. Diesels are mostly gone completely, even Delica doesn't have diesel engine for 2003 model.
It was also the first day for pickups. lots of cars havent cleared yet and are still sitting behind the fence.. what time where you there?
I was down there with with my Tow truck at 11AM.
Picked up that Supra.
We left the dock around 10:00 AM. It is good to know that JDM cars are still coming to our land. Thanks for the update, Ben!
Please post pictures, if you have them of course...
