I've got a soft spot for GN/GNX/T-Type's, great motor from that era.

That car pulls like a jet when it actually hooks up.

I remember back when I was in University, I'm not sure I'd ever actually seen a GN in person before, and this guy laid into it and smoked the tires from about a 30km/h roll, I was beyond impressed, lol! And it sounded like a jet!

Going to try and figure something out for this gaping hole, but it also looks like I am cooler than I am, so we will see. Some people take the plastic that shapes the leather boot and paint it, I might do that. I might also get a custom boot made, or leave it like this.

Impressions? At first I felt silly buying it but it is great. Improves the feeling of the driver seat, the extra height makes it feel more like a cockpit, plus shifting feels even better now.

I think you've got to do something to finish that shifter off, but what a cool piece of gear!

Not really a whole lot happening, but I did get some touch ups done on the Advans.

I found, because of the blue lip it was going to be like 1000$ for a full refurb of these wheels, so I just had two of the lips repaired which were curbed by the previous owner. The lug barrels were also really rough looking because they were using the wrong sized lug nuts and the socket scratched the shit out of the barrels.

This was one that had the worst rash, probably like 14" long. I didn't take before pictures because I forgot. But I have some pictures of the wheels where you can kinda see the before condition:

Can see the lug barrels here

Probably second worst condition wheel here

You can see here oxidation under the paint around the lug holes, I think eventually I will either have them fully refurbed or have the whole center polished to bare aluminum.

They aren't perfect, but it was much more affordable. Plus, technically the only money I have into these wheels was this refurb now, and should be able to cover that easy when I sell the tires.

Not a whole lot happening, I moved again and don't have tools or anything with me. But, I have accumulated some parts! I would say a majority of the pile has been installed.

    Fancy new wheel

I took a geeky amount of pictures of the new tires.

These truck tires are 265/75/16. Turns out some manufacturers measure crown to crown and some measure sidewall to sidewall.

Anyways, should fit, might need to trim the rear flares up a bit:

Thanks! They are getting pretty good reviews, the new compound is supposed to be better.

    Exactly...

Actually the feedback I got from some friends who ran them before is that they got a little greasy when they were hot.. but supposedly this has been fixed. After a quick google search I can't find anything supporting that or that anything has changed haha
