Thats sucks man. Wth is someone going to do with a fia badge? Thats just mean, its like they were super jelly, or something. But sweet car anyways!
Really, stole the FIA badge? Wtf is wrong with some people. Other than the missing badges and shift knob it sounds like you have a nice ride with no major surprises. Enjoy!
I found a nice "grenade style" shift knob. Not allowed to buy it since the amount of times I cross the border. I bought a simple sti 5 speed knob already. Also having a hard time finding another FIA badge to cover up the scratches. I found one in new Zealand but only local shipping. Just the surging idle may take a couple parts thrown at it to fix
.. No my gf wouldn't let me but it, haha, I'll link a photo one sec BASEBALL grenade gear shifter shift knob for rat rod, hot rod, or other classic by RockNob http://www.amazon.com/dp/B004NGOG84/ref=cm_sw_r_udp_awd_NhOuub072PSQZ
I have on of those. Its a real M67 frag grenade, empty of course. My roommate and I play pranks on each other with it (picture to follow)
Sucks about the stolen items. I really can't believe people get away with that crap. Are you happy with the car otherwise?
pretty happy with the car, just searching for a couple parts now, while looking for a MAF sensor, I noticed on ebay the part number is the same for some nissans, and under compatibility it says it fits subaru's and saabs. Does anyone know if the nissan ones fit subaru directly? I've been doing some googleing and am becoming unsure of this, gonna double check the part number that's on the car today at work.
I debated the same thing when the MAF on my version3 failed. I didn't want to risk it so I bought an OEM replacement from Rocky Mountian imports. It wasn't cheap but I got it in 3 days.
Looking great! Hate seeing that people screwed with your car and took those things though.....some people are just jerks :/ Good luck with her! You guys are all just making me miss my old Impreza wagon even more, haha!
small update: inspection shop didn't like that I didn't have a passenger mirror in place, still waiting on the ebay ones since I wasn't able to fix the current one. They also didn't like that the coil springs were rubbing against each other. so I'm planning on getting a set of pink sti springs. Turned on the headlights to find the volt meter start working and more misc lights in the back of the wagon (light bar below seat, and two blue LED's in the top of the hatch.
Kindof like the blue! Were the dash gauges changed as well as the climate controls you pictures? You're missing a screw for your shift pattern plate
I just noticed that thanks, it matches my dash having 2/4 screws holding it in (the plastic underneath the wheel)
bit of a update: some pics, frosty morning Found my suspension woes, turns out the washer dug in to both the suspension top hat and camber kit cusco camber kit, the washer dug a groove into the driverside camber kit (caused my steering to be straight one minute then the next would cause the car to pull right) found a small air leak in the intake manifold, it was on crooked (might of been me when I peeked at the air filter) the car still makes a odd humming noise under low boost, so I have a feeling it could be the blow off valve making that noise my under hood carpet thingy wasn't separating that badly, but I still decided to staple up the corners to avoid it getting worse (cheapist DIY ever) after pics: looking mean: achievement unlocked! The car handles really really well, even for the cheap all season tires on there. The mileage could be better, but I like the noises this car makes. Some notes on the roll cage - I don't think my seat goes all the way back, I think there is one more click I can go back without the cage, and everytime I get in and out my feet hit the bottom. I'm only just over 6 foot tall so it's not that much of a issue.
Looks great man! Clean engine bay. I decided I have to re-powder coat my intake manifod, that looks so good! At least you found the problem for your suspension woes. It feels great to know why.
