    This review is for: http://www.beforward.jp/

I first heard of Beforward in 2009, when i was in Zambia (Africa) I saw a lot of stickers on the JDM cars there as well as full page ad's in the news paper. I checked them out online and they seems like any other mass Auto Exporter. Large lot tons of cars. etc.. So not something that really interested me.

Fast forward to 2012, and I was at the Dock picking up a car, and there was this pile of trash supra there, i noticed it cause of how damaged the body was.. Anyways.. it had BeForward stickers on it..

So then a couple months ago i was checking out the site and they had a sale on some cars.
The price seemed right, pics looked ok, so i figured i would give them a shot.

(Note: the car is in transit right now)
So i emailed them, they got back to me quickly and in english that i could understand..

Some once you send them the money they use this Process tracking System called CAP (Car At Progress)

So you can see as different milestones are reached. This page also has pics and info about the car.. and as documents get created those documents get uploaded here for your convenience. All in all i pretty simple and straight forward system.

They also catered to my requests, like Surrendering the bill of lading in japan, etc.

All and All the experience has been a good one, i will be updating this once the car arrives.

Neat. That CAP system is cool I think more exporters should use a tool like that.
It can relief some stress without having to bug your exporter for updates.

A tee Shirt, a Calender, a fancy branded binder thing..

So the car arrived better condition then i thought.. no real suprises..

Just needs some belts and tires.. so thats good.

All and All a good experience.

    I should update this post..

I have bought 3 other cars off them now, just make sure you look at the pics closely. cause bottom line you get what you pay for.
I have been quite happy (I only buy off the Mega sales though, also i check the auction history to see what the paid for it)

Agreed. I got both my S14s from there, one was a great deal, the other was from Ishikawa therefore not in the best condition, but for the price I can't complain.

And we will see when the Alto gets here.

    Hi Dah_Hunter,

I am curious to know about the price for the Vehicles posted on their website. Is it including GST cost (15%) for New Zealand.

I would really appreciate, if you can reply. I am actually looking to buy a car from their website.

    Regards
    UK

I doubt it would include the cost of taxs In the country of destination. Its just the car cost and shipping when the car lands in your country you will have to pay whatever fees customs requires for importing.

Your gov't charges taxes, not theirs.

Just wanted to update this thread.

    Purchased an Altezza from Beforward.

As what Dah Hunter said, look at pics closely, check auction history, read auction sheet carefully. Sometimes they tend to miss things when they provide you with their translation.

CAP system was great. Car purchased in early Jan, arrived in Mid Feb.

Overall a very pleasant experience to deal with Beforward.
Make sure you proofread your name/address etc for your paperwork as their sales Goro is clumsy sometimes.

Also another thumbs up for Al Thompson as well.

Goro seems to be handling all Canadian purchases for a little over a year now. His English is decent but it bugs me that there are people on their sales team that speak perfect English and they aren't assigned Canadian customers ie. Rachida.

I've never had to speak to anyone. I figured it was run by robots.

Do you have to go to your bank and do a direct transfer for BeForward, or can you use a currency exchange like Payline(by ICE)?

im considering using this site next time i purchase a vehicle.

Are there any advantages to using it? for example, cheaper brokerage fees maybe?

I met a random guy on the ferry to Vancouver Island who was browsing their stock. He said he had bought a Z3 and CR-V through Be-Forward and he was just getting ready to buy...I think a 2000 or 2001 hatchback Civic. Told me he had a good experience with both cars purchasing and they had both been great.

Figured it'd be worth putting this up in the thread.
