Im going to be starting a local Flat Deck Towing service.

    Check this link.

You have decent rates, but was wondering about the zone borders crossing. You have a $20 zone transfer fee on some of the zones when you click on them; but what does that cover?

If the zone transfer fee is the only additional charge on top of the zone charge to go through two zones, what about mileage, as in going across more than a couple of zones?

I am thinking of when you break down on the road and want to get the vehicle home or to a mechanic you know locally.

So if i pick up in Zone 14, $120 to pick up bring anywhere in that Zone.
if its going from Zone 14 to Zone 10 say, when you cross the Zone lines you add the Zone Transfer fee to the costs.
So $120 Plus 2 Remote Zone Crossings ($20 each) and then one Local Zone ($15)

    hope that kinda explains it.

Yeah, it seems simple enough. As long as you don't have to winch it out of canyon where it drove a cliff you should be covered.

Seems very reasonable especially through heavy Vancouver traffic.
Flat Deck towing always commands a bit of a premium, OMG I'd WAY rather use you then some scummy local tow guys (Surrey....)
I commend your Entrepreneurial spirit!!! (Also having a tow vehicle sure will make it a no brainer to get stuff from Docks eh?)

Very cool to hear about this, and the prices seem pretty reasonable for a Flat Deck service.

I'm also curious to see what you have for a tow rig.
