DOT or E-code is technically required to pass. What's your vehicle?
I have a r34 coupe. need a shop for oop and also a shop that could make the headligts dot aproe. u know any?
Nope. Any time there is a shop that lets something like that slide, it doesn't take long before they get their wrist slapped.
Regarding dot lights:
I've read about two options,
1- retrofit a set of dot projectors that clearly have DOT written on them, like this
2- buy a set of accord lights or similar and make a set of brackets. They can be ugly and ridiculous as long as they are secure, illuminate and your hood closes.
cheesyhoney, what import do you have?
Welcome to the site, BTW.
I got some shop retrofited my head lights and wire drl and side marker wihin half day, cost some money but its totally worth it. btw accords headlight only works for R33 and R32. finding the right place is the key for inspection.
So you got a retro fit on your lights? You should post pics. also let people know what shop did it for reference.
I used ABC tireland for OOP, anyone who needs to pass OOP, just give them a call, someone there can recommend some shops for fixing your car to complies OOP.
New member here,
does anybody know of anyone who has a 2002 Caldina GT-4? I just imported one into Vancouver and am having a hard time trying to find a north american fitting headlight or some other way of getting DOT or E code compliance headlights to pass the inspection.
any ideas or advice is greatly appreciated.
Best bet is to find a shop that isnt as "picky" about the Headlights.
