That last one is sweet. Ride height might be a little low, but sweet none the less.

That E55T(T for touring, not turbo, I presume?) is boss. I wouldn't mind owning a regular E55 AMG.

    Sweet rides!

I was looking for E320 in decent shape for myself for several years and gave up, - waiting for Celsior now :)

Just curious, what is the real MPG of your E50?

    Thanks,

What?!!? How long have you had it for? I thought I was bad with my Alpina. I think I've only driven it 2-3,000 km since I got it two years ago.

    You are correct

I honestly have no clue. The E60 which has a modified version of the E50's 5.0L gets about 11mpg in the city. The cars weren't bought with fuel economy in mind.

It will be three years in September, bought it a month or so after the E60. It sat it Japan for 8 months before it was legal. My dad ended up with this one and HATES to put any miles on it. Plus I told him to keep it pristine as possible for the rest of his life and leave it to me, but I don't like my odds.

I am not sure this thread is still alive, but here goes.
So you folks who have a JDM MB, what do you do about:
"VIN code 761 radio remote control reduced range without panic"
I believe this is on all MB imported from Germany to Japan.
What it does is reduce the RF signal strength of the FOB.
I imported a 98 E320 about 2 years ago and have almost exclusively had to use the IR to unlock the car.
I had always thought it was internal programming, but I was recently told it was the FOB.
I have no interest in spending the $400 for a new FOB.
    TIA
