So my little brother is in the Market for a first car.
Something good on Gas, cheap to repair, 4 door, 5 speed.

So we have been looking at local hondas, but they are all cheap(Rusty, etc) $900 for 300,000Kms, or to expensive $5k for 100,000Kms. (Less rust)

So we tossed a bid on one in japan.
    and won this guy:
    1995 Honda Civic EK3
    30,230Kms..
    Grade 4.
    Some minor marks etc etc.

Leave it to Ben to bring in the random. and this case not so random cars. Looks like a perfect little commuter car. Most of that auction sheet looks like it'll buff out. Really a shame we aren't closer, isn't it?

Nice find! Couldn't ask for a more reliable run-around car.

It says its 1500cc so my guess is a D15 which means theres plenty of parts everywhere you look for that car. He should easily get 500+ on a full tank

ya the D15 im pretty sure..

nothing super special. but thats the point. its going to be cheap on gas and cheap to operate.
should last him a long time. (Or till he wants to upgrade to something better)

will post more pics once i get then.

Greg. stop by anytime.. my truck needs a good cleaning... :)

Those are SUCH great cars, 30,000km, you could hardly get a better, more reliable, MPG, clean car for the money, what a great buy!!
my 1999 Acura 1.6 was on that Chassis, great driving position, good seats, superb engines and slick transmissions, double wishbone suspension.
The Car we all should have bought when we were younger, instead we bought moron sports cars that did nothin but break down (at least I did)
    awesome!!!!!

If he needs a sportz car driving fix. he can just come visit me and drive my skyline.. so he is making the wise choice.

Wise indeed! and sports cars loose their luster with 1.65 premium in Vancouver (nearly as expensive here in AB too) a 40mpg fun mobile sure makes sense in the economy we live in now!

Looks like a great little runaround...my mom had a 2000 Civic 4-door for years, never had issues with it once except for one time a brake line went, luckily she noticed it at a stop sign, so all was well. It was pretty rusty around the rear wheel arches when we sold it on (East Coast salty air and salty winter roads) and the brakes were making some weird noises/one rotor was warped, but it was still going strong...
