So, Hybrids will be legal this year. Uses Honda's Integrated Motor Assist Program. Claimed mileage was 68-70mpg. Not sure how batteries and the whole system would hold up over all these years, but neat none the less. Looks like a terrible way to waste money, and not enjoy driving! :D

Lowdown in 4 and 5 seater, as well as basegrade model.
I dig these a bit. Very strange, yet functional and cheap to run also. I don't like the low power, and the AT only. Benchseats would be not so awesome either (on the 5 seater spec). Think I want one! :D

The Accords go for pretty cheap at auction if someone wants a nice simple commuter car.

    And no Prelude love?

Been fighting the temptation to buy a s2000 this year.

Should use the money for something better, as I just picked up the Altezza.

Such a Honda fanboy though and the AP1 with 9000 RPM red line and convertible for the island summers....

    Grrrr lol.

I wonder which is cheaper, local or imported S2000's?
In Winnipeg they seem to go for around $11,000 for those early 2L.

Also greg the BB6 preludes have been legal since 97'

William had a couple 97's including a nice Type S for sale awhile ago.

Grayham not sure might be the same price but you have a higher chance to find a lower mileage unit through the auctions.

I was told a mint s2000 would be about $12k landed by a exporter last year before I bought my Aristo.

Greg, upon looking a touch deeper into this, it appears the Prelude sold up until 2001, but according to the auction site "Auto Catalogue" the last revisions of the Prelude were done and released 1998-09.
It did strike me as strange that no prelude came up in the releases, but it makes sense if the 99 model wasn't any different than the late 98 ones.

This catalogue is really just for changes and releases of the 99 calendar year, and doesn't include vehicles that were pre-existing.

I am admittedly extremely partial to kei cars and cars that were never exported... There, that's my disclaimer! But really - most of these are really nothing to look twice at (Other than the NSX, S2000, and the Integra). No design awards for Honda that year. I would love an S-MX or a Vamos, and, well, I already have a Z! I remember the HRV getting pretty good reviews in the UK, though.

The HRV does look neat. I must say that the NSX that is displayed is not a 99. The 99's didn't have flip up headlights. Also no Civic Type R love?

I would get a civic VX model instead of a insight, they get just as good mileage and they are nicer too look at, they are just hard to find.

Silent, thanks! The NSX actually is a 99, but not a 99 release, it was listed as a June build, September is when they came out, unless the info on goo-net was incorrect. http://www.goo-net-exchange.com/usedcars/HONDA/NSX/700050013620131101004/index.html
I'm confused about the headlights though, as the one I chose has a December 1999 date, but appears to have flip ups? Not sure there.
Thanks for the Civic tip, it didn't come up on my search (or more than likely I missed it, as it is only one model, Civic Type R X)
I have updated the main post to reflect these changes. Thanks again, this is the kind of knowledge/community and communication that makes this forum good, and will make it great one day - as well as assisting me in creating content! Thanks!

Lots of questions about the S2000's with some digging, there are only 30ish that I would consider looking at in the last 3 months.
Prices range from 1802000 to 374000 (18,630 to 3,600 on the low end). Don't forget to add all the other costs in there. Maybe upwards of 5000 on the high end/high cost ones, and on the 4 thou to 6 thou ones - add maybe 4,000.00 to cover your costs.
Km's are going to range in the high 100,000's for the cheap ones, and the ones that sell for over 10,000 CAD will have less than 100,000 kms generally.

I think you could be pretty happy at 10,000 to 14,000 all in, but I'd be looking at a 911 for that kind of money...

This one was just under 15,000.00 Canadian, 3.4L, 1999 Grade 4, and had 79,000 Km (and was auto (boo!)) but still! haha.
