I’ve been searching for a few months now and haven’t found anything that really meets my requirements, I almost feel like buying from one of those importers/exporters that have the car already but having to pay a crazy mark up for it.

how long of searching on the auctions did it take for some of you to find the right vehicle?

My first auction vehicle took a few months.

Evo 6 took I think 6 months just to get the right one from auction?

Then the Pajero took about 3.5 months.

If you have patience you will find what you are looking for or better, just takes some time. Sometimes you also have to throw the budget to the wind if the exact perfect one comes through, like I did with the 6.

I’ll wait it out and keep searching, the whole pandemic seems to have slowed down the auctions or at least reduced the quality of good cars coming through.

    I’m looking for a Nissan Silvia S15

2 weeks for some, up to 2 months for others. I find if i’m dead set on something I can usually find something relatively quick. But if i’m just browsing for good deals, they take much longer because I have a stringent budget.

Depends what are you looking for and what comes up on auction.
For example, I was looking for my second Pajero for 1,5 years and got it! 16.000 km 5A auction grade.

My latest CRV took just about a year. They're a dime a dozen out there, but finding that right color combination paired with low km is sometimes difficult.

Depends on the vehicle, for me it took about 3 weeks to find my 2000 Subaru Legacy Touring Wagon GT-B E-tune 5-speed
