    So, here's a good one:

My temperature gauge is toast. It shoots STRAIGHT up to the top of the meter while the car is warming up, and then goes to it's normal place afterwards. I've diagnosed it down to a diode on the meter ... and it'd be rad if I could just replace it... but there's many different complications there.

So, I know the part number (78130-S04-941) But... it's discontinued.

How would ya'll go about finding a part like this?

If it's a common gauge on a honda, I would try the local wreckers. You should be able to just get the whole cluster from there, or ebay.

Yeah, it's funny - they all look alike, but have slight differences. I got one off a USDM EK of the same year that's faceplate is identical, but the bolts that hold it on and power it are in different places. FML.
So... yeah, yahoo actions might be the place to go.

I checked partsouq to see if I could find it, but I came up with nothing. Sometimes putting in the chassis number helps, but it didnt look promising.

Just checked partsouq, they have the part listed, but when I click on it it comes up as "item not found". Which, I assume means they don't have it or can't get it. I emailed jdmparts, we'll see what they say.
After that, I'll entertain the thought about using jessiestreeter to order a part off yahoo auctions, or do it myself. It's low risk (<$200) so... I'm willing to be a little cavalier.
