With the Pajero DOA, my wife and I needed something to get us back and forth to work for the next year or so. Enter a friend, that had this sitting on her front lawn for the last 4 months or so

    The dirty:
    2008 Ford Fusion SEL
268,000 very hard KM on it
Looks like it's done 268,000KM in 10 years...I don't think there is a square inch of the body that doesn't have a dent, scratch or swirl on it, the interior being the same, but with dog hair...

It's not what I would have picked, but the price and timing was right, and if we can get a year out of it, we'll be more than happy.

Only major plans are cleaning the poor thing to get her some respect back!

Wow, that interior needs a month of weekends spent detoxing! I'm looking forward to the after pics, I'm sure it can be made livable once again.

She's still going strong! Got a headlight and tail light from the wreckers, bit of minor maintenance, and of course, LEDs...

Also, whoever decided to do leather seats and not heating them...I tell you what...

I should do a proper reply...I did a few things to it, and remember, it was $500, and I don't need it to be perfect, just get me to work.

First off, first time since I've had it, no error lights! A Christmas miracle!

Really didn't like the chrome everywhere, so I half-assed masked it and gave it a quick rattle can fix...

Wheels were in horrid condition, so I borrowed a friends steelies for a few hours and sprayed the 18s black, also picked up some fresh off the boat Chinese tires. ($560 mounted and balanced)

I don't mind the look of it now. I don't love it, but at least it looks different than all the others.

Speaking of it only being a $500 car, I picked an LED light strip up for my interior light, but I couldn't be assed to fish the wire, so zap straps and staples will have to do...

Interior isn't bad...but not great. The leather is far past saving in certain spots, and I see now there are bits where it is wearing through, so maybe time for some Canadian Tire car seat covers...or duct tape?
