Bit the bullet, traded the Legacy in and bought a 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek. Lease returned, only 23,000KM on it, and the heated seats have been a nice treat these last few snowy days we've had!

No real plans for it, just enjoying the mileage I'm getting and cheaper gas I get to run in it.

I'm going to miss your Legacy on instagram :(

Wonder if you've found any similarities between the two or no?

Nice - I was considering a crosstrek too. The newer Legacys and outbacks don't do anything for me, the crosstrek has a younger vibe to it. Definitely something to be said for driving a newer car....

Well hopefully I'll get some cool Crosstrek ones for you.

As far as similarities...Other than a badge, no. It's nice not running premium, having a tank last more then a week or so, etc...

The Foresters and Outbacks are HUGE now, and crazy money.

Looks great! I've spent a few seconds looking at Crosstreks to kill time at the dealer... They seem like a good tradeoff between car/crossover/suv.

How do you like the interior? Is there enough space for camping/outdoors stuff?

@RawRock - I like it. It's a good 'little car', but once you get a carseat in the backseat and the stroller that JUST fits in the back, it doesn't leave a lot of room for imagination. If we were going anywhere, I'd totally go hipster roof rackstyle. If it was just me, or my wife and I, we could probably both sleep decently comfortably with the seats folded down.

I like the looks of the Crosstreks, I test drove a 6spd 2018 before I decided on going with the Outback. The added space and confort won me over, second row seating for rear facing car seats a must!
