Well, the post I never thought I'd make. I hardly drive her anymore and I have my eyes on a Hilux surf which would be exciting for camping trips in the mountains. This car was bone stock when I purchased from Brian at B-Pro in 2011. (first Canadian owner) Features include: STi strut bar STi pedals Intercooler water spray 16" Subaru wheels (gold) Rally-style roof vent A/C (still works) Power locks and windows Interior is in good shape; no tears or cracks. Steering wheel is a little worn. I kept the focus of the mods to reliability over power. They include: 2002 coil pack conversion Robs 440 Injector Tune (16psi) 3" Stainless Exhaust Mishimoto Aluminum radiator New clutch installed at VEX last year Timing Belt done last year (210,000km) Walbro 255 fuel pump New front rotors and pads two years ago Bakemono-style mirrors (still have the OEM mirrors) Crystal ver3 headlights (one OEM had a crack, still have them) Fairly new battery, still cranks good. Oil pan heater (warms the engine like a block heater) Pioneer Stereo with bluetooth Aftermarket dash mounted triple gauge pod (oil press/boost) Only used rotella t5 oil every 5,000km 91 octane always (V-power) (I've forgotten a few other mods I'm sure) This car has been nothing but reliable to me. It had 110,000km when I bought it, now it has 218,000. 95% of those added kilometres were highway driving, I used it to travel to work. In my time with it, it has been my baby. I've never beaten or bagged it, it's never been launched, never hit redline, and fluids are checked religiously. It has never left me stranded! It is very light and very quick. It is a rare model, one of 500 made to commemorate Colin McRae's rally win in 1995, so this car received the rare 53C paint, and a rally-style roof scoop to match the championship car. For it's age it is in great mechanical shape, but any 20-year-old vehicle will have its flaws. This car has a few: -Paint is fading on the roof, and I am going to see what correction can be done. -Valve cover gasket on the passenger has a very slow oil drip, every similar subaru has this problem. -It has a few dings from unfortunate parking lots, but minimal rust. -Crack in the windshield but I have a brand new one ready to install. I have kept all the old parts I replaced like the mirrors and even the original ECU. Hoping to sell it quick so I can get into a different ride for winter. Thanks for checking it out! I will answer as many questions as I can. Location of seller: Medicine Hat Alberta Method of contact: Text me at 403-sixsixfour-8498 Price:$7,000 Pictures:
Looks great mate! You sure cared for it well! Shouldn't have too much trouble selling this baby! I love the 555 business too, I miss my old 555 wagon. I have seen these fetch quite a price sometimes at auction. Glws!
Thanks man! It'll be tough to see it go. This was my entry into Subaru ownership and I couldn't be happier with how this car treated me. Hoping to get into a Hilux Surf so I can plan some wild camping trips, and do it up Aussie 4x4 style
