    This list comes from the NHTSA website here - http://www.nhtsa.gov/cars/rules/import/
    It is the current list as of today. If a new one comes available, it will be at the link above. If anyone noticed this, please update the thread.

    Keep in mind, imports under this exception must not be driven more than 2500 miles in a year.

    Note - The list states that the "Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R Early Model Limited Edition 1999" is importable. However, this is not the name of an official vehicle and so you wouldn't be able to import a car under this exception unless NHTSA could clarify what this refers to.

    That being said, they are probably referring to the "N1" model of which Nissan made only 45 of them. Like the NISMO R32 that also qualifies, this is the racing homologation. 12 vehicles were directly used by Nissan and the other vehicles were all sold to racing teams with a few going friends of Nissan's big cats. These could quite realistically not come to market ever and so don't hold your breath for them.

    The list of cars is mostly only for the rich and famous but it is good to have a place to send people to when they ask why the MK4 Supra can't be imported. I spent some time reading comments on Youtube last night and was shocked at the amount of misinformation that people were "educating" others about.
