Alright, so I go to a lot of car shows/meets during the summer and usually take pics, figured I'd post them up here and see what you guys think....

Note: since the big thing these days is stance a lot of these cars are pretty impractical (and not RHD) but some are pretty cool!

Anyways, here are some from last weekend, Stancewars:

Out of all of those...I think I'd pick one of the NSXs. I never got the stanced or hellaflush look.

Oh I see! First you call the mark 2 a chaser and now I'm Soren?!?!?! Oh man, am I Jason Jones too? Hahaha jk!

Greg, the nsx's were sweet, there are more pics of them on the flicker link, I think I like the white more. I love looking at these stancd cars and appreciate the work these guys out in, but damn it must suck daily driving some of those lol.

Wow! Tudor, can't believe I missed these pics. HOLY hell, I'm jealous! I'm hoping to scope some cool rides in Penticton coming up. I haven't been to one car show this summer... :(

I like the look of stanced cars, but feel the same way. if it could be functional, then I'd feel like a boss driving, otherwise, I'd feel like a tool!
The EVO looks BAD. Terrible bad in my opinion. The 350 or 370 looks perfect for height/filling the wells.
The black Aristo is a little low for me, and I don't really like it. The Merc on the left is perfect, and the one on the right is a little... needs retro rims, and maybe less low...
These are all so cool...thanks so much for sharing them T!

    Nice photo's man.
I'm all for lowered cars, but when the rim is tucked, I think it starts to look bad. And as others have said, would be brutal for DDing.

Thanks guys! And I totally agree with you guys...great to see but not practical. The super low ones (Aristo/GS's) are all on bags so they drive much higher off the ground.

I'll post some up from Formula Drift in WA sometime this week.

Alright, now here is what everyone wants to see, car pics!

I went to the auctions (USS Yokohama) with Derek, stopped by the Nismo museum/shop, checked out some drifting at Fuji Speedway and finally ended up at Daikoku Futo to check out some cars, amazing experience! Sorry for the pic quality, but I had no tripod and night-time shots didn't really work out too great.

First spot of the trip, R33 GTR

Found this cool shop in Asakusa called M-Tune and they had one of the wide body Porsches

Pretty much! There were so many crazy cars at Daikoku Futo, funny thing though...on the streets I barely saw modified cars, usually Kei cars and vans.

One night at the hostel, these two guys (tourists) were asking the receptionist if Tokyo Drift racing actually happens and where they could go see it haha!

It was very cool meeting in person. You are such a nice guy and your girlfriend was awesome too. I had a good time on both days. It is nice to get out and do car stuff with other enthusiasts and show the Japan car scene to people.

You should have heard me when I got home. For the next week, I was telling my wife about all the adventures. In fact, where is that picture of the man in the onsen? I think you should post that.

That AZ-1 was actually really hard to get out of. Not only is the sill about 45 cm tall, the damper on that door was broken and the door is quite heavy to prop up when trying to contort your way out of the small opening. I felt really unsafe in that car but it is cool at the same time.

HAHA! That is a great picture. So the story is...me and my girlfriend were making the hike up to the Snow Monkey Park and saw a rainbow in between the trees, being tourists we jumped at the chance of photographing a Japanese rainbow, without taking into account who was in the background....we look at the pics once we get to the park and we see that there is a naked Japanese dude in the water, just chillin'.

**Note, you WILL see male junk in this pic! LOL

Went to a very rainy meet this weekend close to Seattle and as I got there it was broken up by cops due to some idiots doing burnouts on the street :(. Only snapped a few pics on this one since it was pouring out.

Not my best shots, but it was tough holding an umbrella and using the camera with one hand haha.

That IS300 has my wheels? well, the wheels I have chosen to run on the Altezza that never seems to be purchased by me.

The E30 M3 is a treat any time. If they were not getting so damn expensive, I would jump on one. I feel like the time I can afford one, good ones will be too uncommon to daily drive them any more. I am thinking about one for a race car though. Terrible condition street cars make nice race cars.

AC Schnitzer wheels on the E36 is an easy recipe for a nice looking car. That one is too low for me but I bet tonnes of people love that about it.

Car meets are fun. I live in the land of car meets and I never seem to feet out? I am lame.

Yesterday was Driftcon down in WA, and the event had a pretty cool layout, with the car show/meet right next to the track, and drifting going on in the background. Thought it worked out pretty well, here are some pics for you guys! https://www.flickr.com/photos/fittedphoto/sets/72157644698706736/
