I just picked up my Autozam AZ-1 from the port, bought it a couple months ago in a Japanese auction. It's a mid-engined, dual-cam turbo (red-lines at 9000rpm), fiberglass body and gullwing doors. These were made by Suzuki for Autozam (sub-brand of Mazda) for 3 model-years, and less than 4400 made. Also very small and light.

That looks like a blast to bomb around in!
Is this similar to a Capiccino at all? I'm going to have to read up on these.

It's about the same size as a Suzuki Cappuccino (same engine also) and a Honda Beat. These kei cars has a max width and length so most are similar size. They're about to be legal in US at end of the year, so prices will go up.

How did I miss this? I have been watching these things at auction. Do you mind me asking where you're located? I am curious to see one.
